Overview
Albanian Alps are a mountain range in the Balkans that extend from northern. Albania to Kosovo and eastern Montenegro. The peak Jezercë in Albania at 2,694 m (8,839 ft), is the highest peak of the range and the entire Dinaric Alps, and the 7th highest peak in Albania. Perfect destination for mountain and adventure tourism, the Albanian Alps are consideren an antic Switzerland, for the common nature and the wild proud peaks. The excellent hospitality of the inhabitants of this area, makes this destination not only attractive but irresistible. The old stone houses, called “kulla” (towers) show the history and the tradition of this magical country.

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Albania
Meet and assisted by our representative in arrival. Transfer to Tirana, visit in the ex- communist quarter where you can have a coffee into the most panoramic bar which is constructed on a rotator stage of the 15’Th floor into a new building called “Sky Tower”. Dinner and Overnight in Hotel Eclipse 4*, Tirana.
Day 2: The Koman Lake and the Valbona Valley
Very early in the morning we will drive to Koman where we will take the ferry which passes through the spectacular canyon of the Drin River. We will continue by car along the beautiful river of the Valbona valley, accommodation in guesthouse in valbona village to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.
Day 3: Trekking to the village of Dunishe -Kukaj
Today we will start trekking. We will walk from valbona to the charming village of Dunishë and village of Kukaj from there, a shepherd’s path will take us to the remote landscapes of the Eastern Alps of Albania to reach Qafa e Rosit (2000 m; approximately seven to eight hours of walking). The path climbs smoothly amidst green meadows, and provides us with the most wonderful views of some of the most impressive mountains of the Alps. In the end of the day we will return to Rragami
village, accommodation in guesthouse and diner.
Day 4: Over the pass to Thethi
After breakfast we will drive 10 km to the village of Rrogam, where we’ll start the next round of trekking. The highlight of this trek is the pass of Valbona, a classic route which for centuries has linked the two most beautiful valleys of the Albanian Alps: Thethi and Valbona. Along the way you can enjoy the refreshing natural springs and the peaks of Jezerca and Radohima. In the end of the day we will arrive at the guesthouse in Thethi, where we will experience extraordinary hospitality. Thethi is the best-preserved Alpine village in Albania, with typical houses still roofed with wooden tiles amid stunning surroundings.
Day 5: Discover Thethi
Because of its stunning beauty and traditional houses Thethi is one of the best-known villages of Northern Albania. Today we will walk down from the house and visit the attractions near the village, such as the Church, the Kulla e Ngujimit (a tower house used in the past by men as a shelter against ongoing vendettas), the Thethi Waterfall and the Grunasi Canyon. In the afternoon we will visit the Cyclopean stonewalled terraces dating from the late bronze era and return to the guesthouse.
Day 6: Thethi - Shkoder
On our last day we make a spectacular trek in the direction of the village of Boga. We will walk along the “Sheep path”, which is a classic road that connects the villages of Thethi and Boga. This path offers stunning views of Bjeshket e Namuna – The famous Accursed Mountains. We continue on walking downhill along the side of the Radohima mountain range until we reach the village of Boga (900m a.s.l). We will have lunch in this picturesque village surrounded by vertical slopes with peaks above 2000m high, and then leave through the Boga valley towards Shkodra. Accommodation in three stars hotel
